When Are Imaging Services Available?

We proudly offer:

  • X-ray and CT scans daily

  • Ultrasound exams twice weekly (by appointment)

  • MRI scans weekly (with advanced scheduling)

  • 3D Mammograms and Bone Densitometry (DEXA) six times a year (scheduled in advance)

And remember—you don’t have to be an Ellinwood Clinic patient to use our Imaging Services. Simply ask your provider to send us the order, and we’ll take it from there.

X-Ray

Traditional radiography is used to identify bone fractures, joint issues, and lung or bowel conditions. X-rays remain a quick and essential diagnostic tool in many cases.

MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of organs, tissues, and joints. MRI is a powerful tool used in a wide range of specialties and available weekly with scheduling.

Ultrasound / Sonography

Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to view organs, soft tissue, vessels, and unborn babies. It's a versatile and safe option used in many diagnostic situations. Appointments are available twice weekly.

CT Scan & CT Lung Screening

CT scans use a series of images taken from different angles to produce a complete view of the body. These scans are used to detect internal injuries, cancers, infections, and more.

3D Mammography

Digital 3D mammography provides clearer, more detailed breast images for early detection of breast cancer. Our mobile unit provides mammograms six times a year with scheduled appointments.

Electrocardiogram (EKG)

An EKG records the electrical activity of your heart to assess rhythm, detect damage, monitor devices like pacemakers, or check the effects of medication.

CT Lung Screening

(Low-Dose CT) is available for eligible patients at high risk for lung cancer (e.g., former or current heavy smokers). This screening can catch tumors early—when they’re most treatable—and is not offered at all facilities.

Bone Densitometry (DEXA Scan)

This exam measures bone mineral density to diagnose osteoporosis and track bone healing from injuries or disease. Also scheduled six times annually.
